Improvements
Faster Page Loading
Loading states have been added to key pages to improve perceived performance.
- Settings
- Privacy
- Terms
- Pages now render instantly with skeleton states instead of appearing blank
- Content loads progressively in the background
- Previously, these pages appeared empty while loading
- Now, the app feels faster and more responsive during navigation
This update focuses on improving planning, collaboration, and usability across the entire app, making everything feel more connected, faster, and easier to use without changing how you already work.
This update redesigns Google Drive for Team boards to be simpler and
safer
. Instead of asking for broad Drive access, Tasks now lets you choose where the board should live, then creates and manages its own folder there automatically.
Google Drive Improvements
- Reworked the Google Drive connection flow to use Google Picker for folder selection.
- Reduced Drive permissions to a more limited drive.fileaccess model for better privacy and easier Google verification.
- After connecting, you now choose a parent location in Google Drive instead of giving access to your whole Drive.
- Tasks automatically creates a dedicated folder named Tasks - <Board Name>inside the location you choose.
- The board will use that new folder as its storage space going forward.
- Improved the setup flow so the folder picker opens automatically right after Google Drive is connected.
- Updated the Drive integration to better match how modern apps like Notion handle Google Drive access.
What This Means
- Your board now works inside a dedicated app-managed folder rather than browsing arbitrary existing Drive content.
- Files uploaded from Tasks will appear inside that board folder automatically.
- Changing the board location creates a new dedicated board folder in the new selected location.
This update focuses on making the app faster, more responsive, and more reliable across all areas, while keeping everything exactly where you expect it. No changes to your workflow, just a smoother experience under the hood.

Performance & Stability
- Improved overall app speed and responsiveness across all pages.
- Reduced unnecessary background activity to make navigation feel faster and more consistent.
- Optimized how data is loaded so boards and items appear quicker, especially on larger workspaces.
- Reduced redundant requests, leading to a more stable experience during longer sessions.
Infrastructure Upgrade
- Migrated the platform to a new infrastructure (Vercel) better performance and reliability.
- No changes to the URL, login, or data — everything remains exactly the same from your perspective.
- Improved scalability to better support growing teams and heavier usage.
Authentication & Loading Improvements
- Faster loading for login and signup pages.
- Reduced delays when accessing public or shared content.
- Improved session handling so the app feels more immediate when navigating between pages.
Notifications
- Optimized background checks for notifications to reduce unnecessary activity.
- Real-time updates remain instant, while improving overall efficiency behind the scenes.
- Notifications now load instantly when navigating between team pages, without unnecessary refreshes.
- Improved how notification data is cached to avoid repeated loading when moving across the app.
- Previously, notifications were reloaded every time you opened a team page, even if nothing had changed, this could result in multiple unnecessary background requests during normal navigation.
- Now, notifications are cached and reused when moving between team pages. The app will no longer re-fetch the same data repeatedly, making navigation faster and smoother, even with these optimizations, new notifications still arrive in real time without delay.
- Improved request handling to prevent duplicate calls when navigating quickly across pages.
- Overall, this results in a faster, more efficient experience with fewer interruptions.
Team Board Loading Improvements
- Reduced the number of requests when opening a team board, making the experience faster and more efficient.
- Opening a board now requires fewer background calls, resulting in quicker load times and smoother navigation.
- Previously, multiple parts of the app were requesting the same data independently.
- This caused duplicate loading of team settings, members, and integrations, even when nothing had changed.
- Now, shared data is loaded once and reused across the entire board.
- Different components (like quick add, chat, and settings) now rely on a unified data source instead of making separate requests.
- Improved how team members data is handled to avoid unnecessary reloads after minor updates.
- Optimized Google Drive integration loading to prevent duplicate requests across different sections.
- Returning to the same board no longer triggers repeated loading.
- Data is now cached and instantly available, making navigation between boards feel significantly faster.
- Overall, this results in a more responsive board experience with fewer delays and a cleaner, more consistent flow.
Calendar Sync (iCal)
- Improved how calendar subscriptions sync with external apps.
- Reduced unnecessary refreshes while keeping events up to date.
- More efficient syncing behavior for a smoother calendar experience.
Data Efficiency
- Optimized how data is requested and delivered across the app.
- Faster loading times with less data usage, especially noticeable on larger boards.

v2.1 | 20.03.2026
This update introduces a dedicated Flowchart view for Team Boards, enabling teams to visually map processes, plan workflows, and organize ideas with interactive diagrams. Bringing a clearer, more structured approach to collaboration beyond tasks and notes.

Team Board Flowchart
Team Boards now include a dedicated
Flowchart view
for mapping processes, planning workflows, and organizing ideas visually. Instead of keeping process notes scattered across tasks or comments, teams can now build a shared diagram directly inside the board.Visual Planning Tools
- Teams can create flowcharts using common building blocks such as Start / End,Process,Decision, andNote.
- Items can be connected visually to show how a workflow moves from one step to the next.
- The new flowchart space is designed for planning, documenting team processes, and outlining decision paths in a much clearer way than plain text.
Editing & Organization
- Flowchart nodes can be renamed directly inside the canvas, making it easy to turn rough diagrams into something more polished.
- Nodes can be duplicated, copied, pasted, recolored, and given icons so diagrams are easier to scan and understand.
- Teams can remove selected items quickly and make changes without rebuilding the whole diagram from scratch.

Easier Navigation
- Team Boards now include a dedicated Flowchartentry in board navigation, so the feature feels like a proper part of the workspace rather than a hidden extra page.
- The flowchart view includes its own focused workspace, making it easier to stay in planning mode without other board content getting in the way.
Smoother Workflow
- Changes are saved as you work, so teams can build diagrams without worrying about losing progress.
- Manual save, undo, redo, zoom controls, and fit-to-view tools make the canvas easier to work with during longer editing sessions.
- A mini overview helps when diagrams grow larger and need more space.
Desktop-First Experience
- Flowchart is currently designed for desktop use, where there is enough space to comfortably build and manage diagrams.
- On smaller screens, users are guided back to the main board instead of getting a cramped editing experience.
Team Planning Experience
This feature gives Team Boards a stronger planning layer beyond tasks and Kanban.
It works well for process mapping, handoff planning, system overviews, decision trees, and internal team documentation.
Flowcharts make it easier for everyone on the board to understand how work is supposed to move, not just what work exists.

v1.8 | 17.03.2026
This update introduces a full Google Drive workspace inside Team Boards, with improved file management, clearer navigation, safer renaming, and key fixes to deliver a more reliable and organized Drive experience.

Team Board Drive
Team Boards now include a dedicated :google:
Google Drive workspace
with a full file manager experience. Instead of a limited inline view, Drive now has its own page where your team can browse board files and folders in a cleaner, more organized way.File Management
You can now manage Drive content directly inside the board’s Drive area. This includes browsing folders, opening files, uploading new files, creating folders, renaming items, and deleting files or folders when needed. The new view also makes navigation easier with a clearer structure for moving through nested folders.
Drive Experience Improvements
The Drive area has been improved to feel more like a proper workspace rather than a simple attachment browser. Files and folders are displayed more clearly, actions are easier to access, and the overall layout is better suited for teams who use Google Drive as part of their day-to-day board workflow.
Safer File Renaming
File renaming is now safer and more controlled. When you rename a file, only the file name itself can be edited, while the original extension stays locked.
For example, a PDF can be renamed, but
.pdf
cannot be changed by mistake.Fixes
We fixed an issue where newly created folders could appear twice, including once as if they were regular files. Folder and file listings are now handled correctly so each item appears only once in the right place. We also fixed the item action menu so it displays properly above the Drive content instead of being hidden underneath other elements.
